MonoGen has launched MonoPrep2, a technology which produces monolayer slides through a filtration system, eliminating the need for a centrifuge. The filter support and means of drawing fluid are built into a disposable assembly in the device. Registered only for non-gynecologic use, MonoPrep2's applications include fine needle aspirates; bronchial washings; pleural and peritoneal cavity fluids; and other fluid-based cell preparations.
