American Bio Medica has received Hungarian approval for its Rapid Drug Screen. The product will be marketed to centralised institutions such as the police force, the military, and hospitals. Rapid Drug Screen is a drugs-of-abuse detection strip which produces results within 3-5 minutes without using other reagents or treatment. Hungarian marketing authorisations last for two years, after which time the company must apply for renewal.
