Abbott to distribute LocalMed's catheter in US:

Executive Summary

Abbott has formed a multi-year, exclusive agreement with fellow US company LocalMed for the distribution of the InfusaSleeve II catheter in the US. Abbott will sell the product individually as well as packaged in kits with its drugs for use in localised coronary delivery. Abbott will also make an equity investment in LocalMed, which is expecting results of a clinical trial into the effect of locally-delivered heparin on restenosis after stenting in the next few months.
