Focal has CE-marked its FocalSeal-S for sealing cerebrospinal fluid leaks in cranial and spinal neurosurgery. Ethicon, which has exclusive rights to market the product outside the US, will launch it throughout Europe in the first half of next year, said Focal, of Lexington, Massachusetts. The company has already been granted IDE permission to begin US clinical trials.
