Trex Medical said that its third-quarter sales of $63.1 million, down from $72.1 million in the same period last year, were disappointing. The Danbury, Connecticut-based Thermo Electron subsidiary said that lower sales of biopsy systems were expected, while sales of mammography systems improved by 24%.
