Canada's Response Biomedical has developed an easy-to-use, point-of-care diagnostic system that can be adapted to quantify virtually any immunologically active substance. The company exhibited at the AACC meeting in July held in New Orleans. The Rapid Analyte Measurement Platform (RAMP) processes a few drops of blood or urine in an inexpensive immunochromatographic test device. A portable reader provides a result in minutes.
