Li Medical Technologies and DePuy AcroMed are to work together on the development and marketing of products for spinal and neurosurgical applications. Private company Li Medical, which is based in Shelton, Connecticut, has a range of products for anchoring sutures to bone in different applications. Its sports medicine implants are sold under the UltraFix trademark. DePuy AcroMed, which was bought by Johnson & Johnson last July, is the second largest spinal implant company. The US spinal products market is worth around $750 million.
