The creation of a single European trade association remains high on the European medical device industry's agenda at the start of 1999. The International Association of Medical Prosthesis Manufacturers (IAPM) and the European Confederation of Medical Device Associations (EUCOMED) are due to hold discussions on January 19 aimed at merging the associations.
