Swedish researchers have created microrobots with potential applications in minimally invasive surgery and single-cell diagnostics. Writing in the June 30 issue of Science, a team led by Edwin Jager at Linkoping University, reports that at 670 micrometres tall and 170 to 240 micrometres wide, such devices can function in biological fluids.
