Executive Summary
The incidence of late total occlusion (LTO) in patients receiving intracoronary radiation therapy for in-stent restenosis is over seven times that in non-irradiated patients, a US study has found. LTO is defined as total occlusion of a vessel because of thrombosis occurring more then 30 days after an interventional procedure.
