The UK Genetics and Insurance Committee (GAIC) is now ready to receive submissions from insurance companies applying to use genetic test results for specific purposes, such as risk-assessment or setting premiums. In cases rejected by the GAIC, use of the results will be halted and the affected policies reassessed retrospectively.
