Executive Summary

Aetna US Healthcare has formed a new contract with Quest Diagnostics. This replaces multiple contracts between Aetna, Quest and SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, which was bought by Quest last August. Quest Diagnostics is to provide laboratory services to Aetna US Healthcare members from April 1. Teterboro, New Jersey-based Quest has a network of over 40 major laboratories and 1,400 patient service centres.
