UK launches initiative for battling heart disease

The UK government has announced a 10-year nationwide programme to reform and modernise its coronary heart disease (CHD) services. In addition, a further £50 million ($80 million) will be provided to launch the plan which aims to cut the incidence of CHD and stroke by 40% by 2010.
