Eclipse Surgical Technologies, which develops lasers for use in cardiac transmyocardial revascularisation (TMR), is to cut its workforce by 37 - some 23% - in an attempt to reduce operating costs. The company also plans to cut some dispensable research projects and curtail bonuses. In total, Eclipse hopes to save more than $3 million annually.
