The French medical devices industry association, SNITEM, has obtained an extension to the January 1 deadline for labelling products with prices in Euros only. From January 1 until June 2002, all labels will need to be in both French francs and Euros. From June onwards, they will have to be in Euros only. The medical devices industry association, SNITEM, lobbied the government's financial administration for an extension to dropping the franc from the pricing when it discovered that the pharmaceutical industry had already received a dispensation.
