Executive Summary
Notified bodies in the European Economic Area are at last setting up their own trade association in Brussels to represent their interests with one voice. Its founders expect the association to be fully active by April 2002. So far, it has 19 members, but it will need more if regulators are to accept it as truly representative of Europe accredited certification and testing houses.
