European industry criticises device standards-writing

Advances in medical device technology demand corresponding changes in the way standards-writing is managed in Europe, the European medical devices industry association, EUCOMED, asserts. It is circulating proposals for increased co-operation between the various standards bodies, whether European or international in geographical reach and electrical, telecommunications or general in scope, to help drive forward work in new medical device technology areas.
