The draft second amendment to the medical product law (MPG) has sailed through the German lower house (Bundestag) much to the delight of the ruling Social Democratic (SPD) and Green (Bundnis90/Die Grunen) coalition parties. As MPs sought to debate the issue, SPD representative Dr Carola Reimann outlined the reasons for the amendments.
