The second amendment to the medical devices law (MPG) has gained cross party approval in Germany, a result, which, in itself, is unsurprising. Perhaps more noteworthy is that, under the present climate of financial strain and during the run-up to the next general election, cross-party agreement on health policy is a rare occurrence. The major political parties seemed at pains to stress why they were in tune.
