Executive Summary
Canada's CryoCath Technologies has begun a US clinical trial of its cryoablation treatment for cardiac arrhythmias. Doctors at three US centres have, so far, used the company's Freezor cryocatheter to treat three patients with supraventricular tachycadia. Results showed that the procedure resulted in the acute termination of their arrhythmias and no complications. The US study follows a 40-patient trial in Canada, said the Montreal, Quebec-based company.
