The German Hospitals Association (DKG) has put forward proposals which would delay by one year obligatory adherence by hospitals to the new Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) system. The proposals were comprehensively debated by the DKG board on July 2 and were put before representatives from the ministry of health and the leading groups of the statutory health insurance groups (GKV) last week.
