Polymer Technology Systems is about to commence clinical evaluation of a test strip that combines assays for total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides, which is designed to be used on a modified version of the Indianapolis, Indiana-based company's BioScanner 2000. The company already has FDA approval for five blood analyte tests: glucose; total cholesterol; HDL cholesterol; triglycerides; and ketones.
