Vascular Solutions is to start a biopsy tract sealing project in conjunction with Dr Mark Saker, an interventional radiologist from Chicago. The team will look at sealing the puncture tract after a solid organ or lung biopsy - a $50-150 million market opportunity, the Minneapolis, Minnesota company says. As a result of this project, Vascular Solutions expects to increase R&D expenses around $200,000 each quarter next year.
