Executive Summary
UK company Advanced Pain Management (APM) has developed a noninvasive spinal column stimulation device for relieving acute pain. The device is the first of its kind that can be used to relieve pain associated with suspected myocardial infarction, claims the Blackburn-based firm. The device, which can also be used to treat pain caused by inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and pain associated with infections, provides an effective alternative to drug therapy, says APM.
