Cryotherapy has shown promise as a treatment for breast cancer, according to a German study presented this month at the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, Austria. The majority of cryotherapy procedures are carried out in patients with liver or prostate cancers, said study leader Stefan Pfleiderer. Although it is not ready to become a standard treatment for breast cancer just yet, it has great potential, he said.
