Executive Summary
Two US studies have provided further evidence that supports the use of Biosite Diagnostics' Triage B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) test in the diagnosis of congestive heart failure (CHF) in the emergency room. The test late last year became the first blood test to be approved by the FDA for use as an aid in the diagnosis of CHF (see Clinica No 936, p 15).
