Huntleigh Technology has told Clinica that it is developing a portable compression device designed to reduce the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) among airline passengers. The Luton, UK company already manufactures the Flowtron intermittent compression system, which is widely used, particularly in the US, to prevent DVT in hospitalised patients.
