This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

The Swedish Association of Suppliers of Medical Devices (SLF) has announced that it is to meet with the National Board of health and Welfare (SOS) to discuss the continued use of phthalates in medical devices. Last week, it claimed that SOS had given the go-ahead for the use of PVC in devices, a statement which SOS believes to be a misinterpretation of its position (see Clinica No 943, p 7).
