BIVDA (British In Vitro Diagnostics Association) slams "hugely damaging" home tests report

Executive Summary
The British In Vitro Diagnostics Association (BIVDA) has criticised as "hugely damaging for the self-testing market" a Consumers' Association report into home tests available in the UK for six conditions. The association argues that the report - "Don't try this at home" - fails to appreciate the potential value of self-testing in a wider public health context and the intelligence and common sense of the user, among other things. More worryingly, however, is the report's denigration of the CE marking system.
