There is no evidence to support measures to restrict the use of PVC in medical devices, including for those groups such as neonates which are considered by some to be at high risk. So says the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (SCMPMD) in a report issued on September 26 which throws it out of step with both the US and Canada.
