FDA warning to hospital over reprocessing

The US FDA has issued the first warning letter to a hospital for failing to meet the agency's reprocessing rules for single-use devices. According to the July 12 letter, Carondelet St Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona, reprocessed a metered dose inhaler dispenser without obtaining prior approval from the agency.
