Following its recent direct implantation in the UK and German markets, US orthopaedic sports medicine producer dj Orthopedics (San Diego, California) is to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada. dj Ortho will provide direct distribution there, the new branch assuming activities previously undertaken by Smith & Nephew on its account in the Canadian market. The company sees particular potential for the growth of the Donjoy and Procare brands, among its 600-strong range of orthopaedic and proprietary technologies.
