Executive Summary
The US FDA has issued a final rule that will fully implement the device tracking reforms in the FDA Modernization Act (FDAMA) of 1997. The final rule makes no changes to the April 25 2000 proposed rule, which made some minor modifications in the scope of the tracking programme and added certain patient confidentiality requirements.
