Executive Summary
A new draft of the guidance document explaining how to apply international medical device quality management system standard, ISO 13485:2003, is expected by next February following comments made at a meeting on the text in Florence, Italy, at the end of last month. This has shifted slightly the timetable for the intended launch of the guidance document - ISO 14969:2004 - but just by a couple of months. The target date for publication is late spring/early autumn.
