Executive Summary
Imaging Diagnostic Systems has moved a step closer to taking its CT laser breast imaging system to the US and Canada, after its applications to market the device were accepted for review by regulators in both countries. The system, called CTLM, uses laser technology and patented algorithms to create 3D cross sectional images of the breast. It offers a noninvasive, painless examination for use as an adjunct to mammography and does not expose the patient to radiation nor require breast compression. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida firm has already CE-marked the system for sale in Europe.
