Manchester, UK-based DxS, a genotyping services company, has licensed its Scorpions nucleic acid detection and genotyping system to German firm Minerva Biolabs, which will use it to develop a real-time diagnostic test for the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus. Berlin-based Minerva specialises in PCR-based molecular diagnostics.
