Executive Summary

Medical Services International, a diversified medical holding company with headquarters in Edmonton, Canada, has signed an agreement for the sale of its rapid test kits for infectious diseases in West Africa. Its local agent, M&A Concepts of Lagos, Nigeria, has bought $122,000 worth of VScan kits with which to supply national distributors in the region. Medical Services International hopes to sell 3-4 million kits annually in West Africa, which has a population of 165 million. The VScan products are cheap, technically simple kits, which test for HIV 1 and 2, hepatitis B and C and tuberculosis.
