Executive Summary

UK-based AEA Technology has renamed the international medical therapy business of its QSA unit, which it acquired from Nycomed Amersham in 1998. The new Auriga Medical, which is based in Burlington, Massachusetts, was launched at the Society of Nuclear Medicine's meeting last week in Florida. Auriga, which makes radioisotopes for use in brachytherapy, cancer treatment and medical research, is now seeking new alliances with developers of radioimmunotherapy and brachytherapy devices.
