Executive Summary
Recom Managed Systems looks to be on track to develop a wireless, round-the-clock heart monitor, after the first prototype of the device produced encouraging results in tests. The research showed that the personal heart monitor, a portable product the size of a small cellular telephone, provided signal quality comparable to traditional ECG systems used in hospital settings. "While results so far are as expected, Recom has a lot of work ahead to commercialise any product that will be derived from our technologies," said Marvin Fink, the Los Angeles, California firm's CEO.
