Talks between Germany's medical technology industry association (BVMed) and the IKK (Guilds' health sickness fund) on the difficulties that incontinence product manufacturers will experience with the introduction of blanket reimbursement rates, decided on December 10 (see Clinica No 1136, p 4), have borne fruit. BVMed has succeeded in delaying the entry into force of new rates for this category of products, pending a hearing into the matter, the Berlin-based association reported last week.
