Executive Summary

Iraq is set to undergo an emergency healthcare rehabilitation programme, backed by the World Bank. The project is aimed at improving access to quality emergency services in selected healthcare facilities and to address the country's urgent healthcare needs. The World Bank has completed the appraisal and says that consultants will be required to help in facility design and construction supervision, among other areas. The project is being led by Dr Ayad Al-Dahwi (email: [email protected]), of the ministry of health in Baghdad.
