Avanta Orthopedics, a San Diego-based manufacturer and marketer of hand and forearm implants, is to sell a thumb product developed by Artimplant, of Vastra Frolunda, Sweden. Artimplant, which reported nine-month sales of SKr1.1m to September 30, believes the deal will be worth at least SKr60m ($9m) to it over the next five years. This total will be made up of the licence fee, product sales to Avanta and royalties.
