Prioritising cost is strangling medical technology innovation

Cost alone should no longer be the only priority in judging what access patients should have to medical innovations. That was the conclusion reached at the 5th workshop of the European Platform for Patients' Organisations, Science and Industry (EPPOSI) on the theme of "A responsible system for healthcare innovation and access to care", held in Berlin, Germany on November 23-24.
