Haemonetics confirms under investigation in Italy

US company Haemonetics has confirmed to Clinica that it is under investigation in Italy as part of a criminal probe into equipment supply contracts at Niguarda Ca Grande Hospital, Milan. The automated blood processing system maker says its audit committee began an internal investigation several weeks ago, but that it is too soon to report any findings or corrective actions.
