The next step in the UK's parliamentary consultation on pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) will be its fifth oral evidence session, on September 8. The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee will take evidence from seven experts, including: Linda Ball, Muscular Dystrophy Association; Peter and Fiona Hingston, Cystic Fibrosis Trust; Dr Simon Fishel, director of Centres for Assisted Reproduction (CARE); Professor Peter Braude, of Guys, Kings and St Thomas' School of Medicine; and Professor Tom Baldwin, chairman of the Ethics & Law Committee of the HFEA.
