Executive Summary
The French government's bill on the reform of sickness insurance has now begun what is anticipated to be a lengthy journey through the parliamentary process. There have already been angry exchanges in the Chamber of Deputies on the decree which introduces the biggest single reform of the system in over a decade, and contains measures which could have a negative impact on the profits of medical devices and diagnostics manufacturers (see Clinica Nos 1112, p 6 and 1113, p 3).
