The Italian biomedical and diagnostics industry association, Assobiomedica, has appointed Angelo Fracassi, chairman of IVDs company Dasit, as president for a two-year term. Mr Fracassi replaces Medtronic managing director Ugo Ortelli, who becomes co-vice-president, together with Luigi Ronchetti, managing director of Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. The association's general assembly also appointed Giuseppe Minola (Roche Diagnostics) and Stefano Rimondi (Gruppo Sorin), to head Assobiomedica's diagnostics and biomedical industry divisions, respectively.
