PEOPLE - Guidant (US) announces revised management structure:

Executive Summary

Indianapolis, Indiana-based Guidant has announced a revised management structure. Ronald Dollens, president and CEO, has signalled his intentions to retire from the company on December 31 2004. Mr Dollens has served as CEO since Guidant was split off from Eli Lilly in 1995. The company has also announced the promotion of group chairman Guido Neels, who becomes COO, effective immediately. Consequently, now also reporting to Mr Neels will be the presidents of Guidant's four operating units: cardiac rhythm management, vascular intervention, cardiac surgery and endovascular solutions. Additionally, group chairman Jay Graf has announced his planned retirement from the company in July 2004.
