The UK's BioIndustry Association (BIA) has appointed Christiane Abouzeid as regulatory affairs manager and Tony Bradshaw as director for bioprocessing industry development. Dr Abouzeid will be responsible for lobbying on regulatory issues at UK and EU levels. Dr Bradshaw's post was created as part of the BIA's plans to encourage the development of the UK's bioprocessing industry and is the "direct result" of a recommendation by the BIA-led Bioscience Innovation and Growth Team (BIGT), which recognised bioprocessing as a critical part of the bioscience sector.
