Executive Summary
Westchester, Illinois-based developer of image-guided medical technology BrainLAB has extended its worldwide supply and distribution agreement with Varian Medical Systems for the Novalis and m3 products. The agreement now runs through to 2010. Novalis is BrainLAB's software-driven neurosurgery technology platform, designed to treat a wide range of indications including cancers of the brain, head and neck, spine, liver, lung and prostate. The m3 multileaf collimator, used in radiotherapy, configures the treatment beam to conform exactly to the tumour's shape.
